Thanksgiving Day is here again
A time for you and me
To look at all the things we have;
How thankful we should be.
Be thankful for your family
And all the love you share,
There is so much hatred elsewhere,
Be thankful you’re not there.
Be thankful for our little town
Where everyone can see,
We’re free to do our own thing-
Whatever it may be.
Be thankful for the food we have
In plentiful supply,
While folks in other countries-
For lack of it they die.
Think of the sick and suffering,
With their trials and their woes;
Be thankful if you’re healthy
And you’re not one of those.
Be thankful for a country
Where we can live so free,
Where different race and colour
Can live in harmony.
